Steve Irwin

When you think back to your childhood memories with nature and Steven Irwin doesn’t come up, then your childhood must’ve been really sad. For those of you who do not know, Steve Irwin was an Australian, nature conservationist, and notable tv personality. For those of you who do know who he is, “crikey!”

Steve Irwin gained popularity through his unmatched passion for wildlife, education, and conservation. In one of his episodes of “The Crocodile Hunter,” he reminds his audience, “We don’t own the planet Earth, we belong to it. And we must share it with our wildlife.” With the global demolition of forests, wildlife being left with no home. Irwin hoped to inspire those to act against what is causing planet Earth to suffer. Sadly, he passed away from the stab in the heart by a stingray and his positive messages came to an end in 2006.

Although with his passing, his efforts towards nature conservation still continue. His legacy has been passed over to his family and his daughter, Bindi, with a remake of the former crocodile hunter show. A new show called “Crikey! It’s the Irwins” makes great work to keep Steve’s memory and messages alive.

Steve Irwin was truly an inspiration to his audience and was definitely a notable figure to me as a child with a growing passion for nature and animals. Even though the new generation isn’t able to catch new episodes of the crocodile hunter, there is now a show with not just one, but three Irwins. I actually have seen an episode of the new Irwin show and I can vouch that it provides viewers with the same levels of positivity and inspiration. His favorite quote of mine is, ” I have a message for my fans. Whatever you want to do in this world, it is achievable. The most important thing that I’ve found, that perhaps you could use, is be passionate and enthusiastic in the direction that you choose in life, and you’ll be a winner.”

RIP THE CROCODILE HUNTER
